James 1:12

Blessed is the man who patiently endures temptation, because when he has passed the tests, he will receive the crown of life that the LORD promised to those who love him.

Psalm 27:2-6

When evil people come to devour me, even my enemies and my foes, they will stumble and fall. Even though a whole army were to surround me, my heart will not fear. Though war should rise against me, even then I will be confident. One thing I have asked of the LORD, the thing I want most: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to witness the LORD's beauty, and to inquire of him in his temple. For in the day of trouble, he will conceal me there. He will hide me in a secret place; he will place me out of reach onto a high rock. Then I will hold my head up high above the enemies who surround me. In his tabernacle I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy. I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD!

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, 11a

For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to harvest;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to rebuild;
A time to cry, and a time to laugh;
A time to grieve, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather them together;
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to search, and a time to stop searching;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear, and a time to mend;
A time to be silent, and a time to speak up;

He has made everything beautiful in it's time.

Hebrews 9:27-28

Just as surely as it is that everyone has one appointment with death, and then comes their judgment, it is certain that Christ, who was sacrificed once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not as another sin-offering, but to bring salvation to those who eagerly wait for him.

2 Timothy 2:8-14

Remember this: Jesus Christ, a descendant of David, was raised from the dead. This is the gospel for which I suffer, even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But the Word of God cannot be chained. Therefore, I am ready to endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they may also obtain salvation which is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. And you can count on these truths: If we die with him, we will also live with him. If we endure with him, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he will deny us. But if we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, because he cannot deny who he is. Remind people of these things, and warn them before God not to quarrel over words; for it is of no value, and only undermines those who listen.

1 Peter 3:13-15a

Now, who is going to do you harm, if you are eager to do good? And even if you do suffer for doing what is right, you are blessed. So do not feel threatened, and do not be frightened, but be completely devoted to the Lord God.

1 Timothy 4:7-8

Steer clear of profane fiction and old wives' tales. Instead, train yourself to be godly, keeping yourself spiritually fit. Exercising your body provides some benefits, but training yourself spiritually is infinitely more profitable because of the benefits for this life, and for the one to come.

Philippians 1:27-30

Be sure to conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you, or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm and united in one spirit, in a single-minded fight for the faith of the gospel. Refuse to be frightened in any way by your adversaries, for your fearlessness is a sign that they will be destroyed, and that you will be saved by God himself. To you it has been granted, on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but you also have the privilege to suffer for him, for you are engaged in the same conflict which you saw I had, and now hear that I still have.

Psalm 33:10-12

The LORD voids the plans of nations, and disallows their schemes. But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, and the intentions of his heart through all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, and the people he chose for his inheritance.

2 Corinthians 1:18-22

We assure you that as certainly as God is faithful, we have never given you a message meaning both "yes" and "no." And Jesus Christ, the Son of God, whom Silas, Timothy and I preached to you, does not waver between "yes" and "no," but in him it has always been "Yes!" Every promise of God finds its divine affirmation in him, and through him we say, "Amen!" to the glory of God. And it is God who gives both you and us the ability to stand firm in Christ, annointing us with his seal, a living guarantee, the Holy Spirit in our hearts.

Galatians 3:6-9

Abraham believed God, and his faith counted as righteousness. Understand, then, that those of faith are children of Abraham. And Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify all people on the basis of faith, announced the gospel in advance to Abraham, saying, "All nations will be blessed through you." So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with faithful Abraham.

2 Peter 1:16-21

We were not telling clever fables when we told you about the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ - we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice of Majestic Glory called to him, "This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I am well pleased." We heard the voice come from heaven while we were with him on the holy mount. That is why we have even greater confidence in what the prophets proclaimed. And you will do well to pay close attention, for their word illuminates until the day dawns, and the morning star shines in your hearts. Know for certain that no prophecy of Scripture is of private interpretation, nor was it ever proclaimed by the will of man, but holy men were filled by the Holy Spirit, and God spoke.

1 John 1:8-10

If we do not admit that we are sinners, we deceive ourselves, and the Truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from every unrighteousness.
If we claim that we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar, and the Word is not in us.

1 Thessalonians 5:12-15

We ask you, brothers, to honor those who work hard among you, who are leading you in the Lord, and who counsel you. Regard them highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. And we urge you, brothers, to admonish the disorderly, encourage the timid, support the weak, and be patient with everyone. See to it that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always pursues what is good, both to one another and to everyone else.

Colossians 1:9-11

From the day we first heard of your faith and love, we have not stopped praying for you. We ask God to fill you with the full knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. We pray that your life will be worthy of the Lord, pleasing him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. We pray for you to be strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for great endurance and perseverance with joy.

Matthew 6:19-21

Do not accumulate for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust can consume, and where thieves cannot break through nor steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Mark 1:4-8

John came, baptizing in the wilderness, and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. People from throughout the land of Judea, and all the people of Jerusalem, went out to him confessing their sins, and he baptized them in the river Jordan. John wore clothes made from camel's hair and he had a leather belt around his waist. For food, he ate locusts and wild honey. He proclaimed, "He is coming: the One who is greater than me. So much greater, that I am not even worthy to stoop down and loosen his sandals. I baptized you in water, but he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit."

Hebrews 4:14-16

Having therefore a great high priest who has gone to heaven, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold tightly to our confession of faith. We do not have a high priest who is unable to understand our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way like us, yet without sin. Therefore, let us boldly draw near the throne of grace. There we will find mercy and grace to help us in our time of need.

Romans 12:17-18

Never repay evil with evil. Be honorable to everyone. If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Ephesians 1:11-16

In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been chosen in advance according to the purpose of him who conforms everything to his will, so that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, live for the praise of his glory. And you, having heard the word of truth, the good news of your salvation, and also having believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is a pledge of our inheritance, anticipating the redemption of those in God's possession, to the praise of his glory. This is the reason that, having heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and the love which you have for all the saints, I have not stopped thanking God for you, remembering you in my prayers.

1 Peter 2:4-8

As you come to him, the living Stone, who was rejected by men, but chosen by God and precious to him - you too are like living stones as you are being built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For as it says in Scripture: "Behold, I am placing my chosen and precious cornerstone in Zion. Anyone trusting in him will never be disappointed." To you who are trusting, this stone is precious, but to you who are unbelieving, "the stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone," and, "a stumbling stone, a rock on the offense." They stumble at the word and are unbelieving, which is their destiny.

1 Timothy 2:8-15

I desire that men everywhere pray, without anger or controversy, lifting up holy hands. In the same way, I desire that women wear sensible clothing, dressing with modesty and discretion, not adorned with elaborately arranged hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothing, but adorned with good deeds, appropriate for women professing godliness. Let a woman learn quietly and submissively, for I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. Remember that Adam was formed first, then Eve. It was not Adam who was deceived; it was the woman who was deceived into disobedience. But women will be saved through childbearing, if they remain in faith, and love, and holiness, and self-control.

Philippians 1:1-8

This letter is from Paul and Timothy, bond servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, including the overseers and deacons: Grace to you, and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God every time I think of you. Whenever I pray for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your contribution to the gospel from the first day until now. And I am certain that he who began a good work in you will continue deveoping it until the day of Jesus Christ. It is so right for me to feel this way about you all, because I have you in my heart. So both in my bonds, and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you are all partakers with me of grace. God is my witness how I long for all of you in the tender mercies of Christ Jesus.

Jude 1:24-25

Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to bring you into the presence of his glory unblemished and full of joy; to God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be all glory, majesty, power, and authority, before time, now, and forever. Amen.

Luke 6:20-26

He lifted up his eyes to his disciples, and said, "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh. Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you, when they mock you, and when they label you as evil because you follow the Son of Man. Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy! For great is your reward in heaven. Remember that the prophets were treated the same way. But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your reward. Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry. Woe to you who are laughing now, for you will mourn and weep. And woe to you when everyone is nice to you, for false prophets were treated the same way."

John 3:35-36

The Father loves the Son and has entrusted everything to his hands. Anyone believing in the Son possesses eternal life, but anyone rejecting the Son will never experience life eternal, for God's wrath remains on him.

Romans 1:18-32

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. That which may be known of God is revealed in them, for God revealed it to them. The invisible qualities of God - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood from what has been created, so as to render them without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God, or even thanked him, but became vain in their reasoning, and their foolish heart was darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images like mortal man, birds, animals, and reptiles. So God turned his back on them and gave them over to the shameful desires of their hearts, sexual impurity, and the degrading things they did with each other's bodies. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served created things rather than the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for what is unnatural. In the same way, men abandoned normal relations with women and burned with lust for one another, doing shameful things with other men, and receiving due penalty for their perversion. And, just as they thought it foolish to know God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do things that never should be done. They were filled with unrighteousness: sexual immorality, wickedness, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deceit, malice, gossip, slander, hatred of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventing new ways to sin, disobedient to parents, senseless, faithless, heartless, unforgiving, and unmerciful. And even knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do them anyway, they encourage others to do the same.

1 Peter 2:1-3

Rid yourself of any and all malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander. Like newborn babies, crave spiritual milk, that by it you may grow, now that you've tasted the Lord's goodness.

1 Corinthians 2:6-10a

We speak a message of wisdom among the mature - a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nothing. We speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden and which God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this world have understood it, for had they known, they never would have crucified the Lord of glory. The Scripture is true that says "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him." But God has revealed these things to us through his Spirit.

Titus 3:1-2

Remind believers to submit to rulers and authorities, to obey the law, to always be ready to do what is good, to slander no one, to avoid quarreling, and to show true humility to everyone.
