John 1:14-18

The WORD became flesh, and lived among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only SON of the FATHER, full of grace and truth. John the Baptist testified about him, crying out, "This is he of whom I said, 'He who comes after me is greater than me, for he was before me.'" From the fullness of his grace we have received one blessing after another. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through JESUS CHRIST. No one had ever seen GOD. But GOD the SON, the ONE and ONLY, who is at the FATHER's side, has made him known.

James 3:1

Dear beloved, let not many of you be teachers, for those who teach will be judged more strictly.

Matthew 5:6

How blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be fully satisfied.

1 John 4:13-15

We know that we live in GOD, and he in us, because he has given us of his SPIRIT. We have seen and testify that the FATHER has sent the SON as the SAVIOR of the world. Whoever confesses that JESUS is the SON of GOD, GOD lives in him, and he in GOD.

Hebrews 11:8-12

By faith, Abraham, when he was called to go out to a place he was to receive as an inheritance, obeyed and went, not knowing where he was going. By faith, he lived as an alien in the land of promise, like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. For he was looking for the city with foundations, a city designed and built by GOD. By faith, Sarah received the ability to conceive, and bore a child well past the proper time in life, since she counted him faithful who had promised. Therefore, from this one man, who was too old to have children, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, and as countless as the sand on the seashore.

Luke 2:25-35

There was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was filled with the HOLY SPIRIT, and was waiting for Israel to be rescued. It had been revealed to him by the HOLY SPIRIT that he would not die before he had seen the LORD's MESSIAH. Led by the SPIRIT, he came to the temple. And when Joseph and Mary brought the child JESUS according to the custom of the law, he took him up in his arms and praised GOD, saying, "LORD, just as you promised, now I can die in peace. For my eyes have seen the SAVIOR which you have prepared for all the people - a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people, Israel." Joseph and Mary marveled at the things which were said about him. Then Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary, his mother, "Behold, this child is appointed to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against. A sword will pierce your very soul, so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed."

1 Peter 5:1-4

To the elders among you, from a fellow elder, a witness of the sufferings of the MESSIAH, and one who will also share in the glory to be revealed, I exhort you to feed the flock of GOD that is under your care like shepherds. Exercise oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily; not for dishonest gain, but willingly; not in a domineering way over those assigned to you, but leading the flock by example. And when the CHIEF SHEPHERD appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.

1 Timothy 5:8

Anyone not providing for his own, especially his immediate family, has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.

Mark 13:31-37

JESUS said, "My words will never pass away, though heaven and earth will pass away. No one knows the day or the hour - not even the angels in heaven or the SON himself - only the FATHER. So, be on guard, stay alert, and pray. For you do not know when the time will come. It is like a man who travels to another country. When he leaves his house, he leaves someone in charge, everyone knows their responsibilities, and he tells the one at the door to keep watch. Therefore, remain alert since you do not know when the owner will return - whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. Do not let him find you sleeping when he arrives without warning. What I say to you, I say to everyone, 'Stay alert!'"

Matthew 5:7

How blessed are those who show mercy, for they will be shown mercy.

Psalm 37:23-26

When the LORD delights in the way of a man, his steps are established. Though he stumbles, he will not fall, for the LORD sustains him with his hand. From my youth to now that I am old, I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor their children begging for food. All day long they are generous and lend freely. Their children are a blessing.

1 Peter 3:3-6

Wives, your beauty should not only be on the outside: how you fix your hair, your jewelry, and what you wear. But rather, you should be known for the beauty in your heart, the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious to GOD. For in the same way, the holy women of the past, who put their hope in GOD, adorned themselves in like manner, and were submissive to their husbands. For example: Sarah, who obeyed her husband, Abraham, and called him her master. You are her daughters when you do what is right and do not give way to fear.

Psalm 37:16-19

It is better to be righteous and have little, than to be wicked and have much. For the strength of the wicked will be broken, as the LORD upholds the righteous. The days of the blameless are known to the LORD, and their inheritance will be forever. They will survive in evil times; they will enjoy plenty in days of famine.

1 John 2:18-23

Dear beloved, these are the end of times, and as you have heard, the antichrist is coming, as many have already appeared. By this we know that this is the end of time. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For had they really belonged to us, they would have remained with us. But when they left, they proved that they did not belong to us. But you have an anointing from the HOLY ONE, and you know the truth. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie comes from the truth. And who is the liar? It is he who denies that JESUS is the CHRIST! This is the antichrist, he who denies the FATHER and the SON. No one who denies the SON has the FATHER. But whoever confesses the SON has the FATHER also.

1 Peter 3:1-2

Wives, just as CHRIST was longsuffering, be submissive to your husbands, even if they do not obey the Word. For they may be won over by your behavior, even without a word, as they witness the purity and reverence of your lives.

Matthew 5:4

How blessed are those that know what sorrow means, for they will be comforted.

James 2:20-26

When will you ever learn that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our ancestor Abraham declared righteous for a deed, in that he offered his son Isaac on the altar? Do you see that his faith and his actions worked together? As a result of his actions his faith was made complete, and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed GOD, and it was credited to him as righteousness." In fact, he was called the friend of GOD. So you see, we are justified by what we do, and not by faith alone. In like manner, was not Rahab the prostitute declared righteous for a deed, in that she hid the spies and later sent them off by another way? For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith without works is dead.

Matthew 5:3

How blessed are the humble in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Hebrews 6:4-9

Concerning those who were once enlightened, having tasted the heavenly gift, being partakers of the HOLY SPIRIT, and who tasted the goodness of the word of GOD and the powers of the age to come - if they then fall away, it is impossible to renew them to repentance, because to their loss they crucify the SON of GOD anew, and subject him to open shame. For land which drinks the rain that often falls on it, and then produces a crop suitable for whom it was farmed, receives a blessing from GOD. But land that produces thorns and thistles is rejected and near to being cursed. In the end it will be burned. But, beloved, even as we speak of such things, we are persuaded of better things for you - things that accompany salvation.

Acts 3:17-23

Now, brothers, I know what you did to JESUS was done in ignorance, and the same can be said for your leaders. But the things which GOD foretold through the mouths of prophets, saying that his CHRIST would suffer, he has now fulfilled. Repent, therefore, and turn to GOD, so that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the LORD, and so that he may send JESUS CHRIST, who was ordained for you before. He must remain in heaven until the time comes for the final restoration of all things, which GOD promised long ago through the mouths of his holy prophets. For Moses said to your fathers, "The LORD GOD will raise up a prophet for you from among your own people, and you must listen to everything he tells you. And so it will be that every soul that will not listen to that prophet will be completely cut off from GOD's people."

Proverbs 31:10-31

A woman of noble character is hard to find. She is far more valuable than precious jewels. Her husband can trust her, and she enriches his life. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. Like merchant ships, she brings in food from far away. She gets up before dawn to prepare food for her family and a portion for her maidens. She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. She is energetic and strong, a hard worker. She watches for bargains; her lamp does not go out at night. Her hands are busy spinning thread, her fingers twisting fiber. She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. She does not fear winter because she has clothed her family in warm clothes. She makes her own bedspreads; her clothing is of fine linen and purple. Her husband is well known and takes his seat among the leaders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them, and delivers sashes to the merchant. Strength and dignity are her clothing. She laughs with no fear of the future. She speaks with wisdom; faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also praises her: "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Charm is deceptive, and beauty is vain, but the woman who fears the LORD is to be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done, and let her deeds bring her public praise.

Matthew 5:13

You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it loses its flavor? Can it be made salty again? No. It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

1 Peter 4:17-19

The time has come for judgment to begin with the family of GOD; and if it begins with us first, what will happen to those who do not obey the Good News of GOD? For it is written, "If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will happen to the godless and to sinners?" Therefore, those who suffer according to the will of GOD as they continue to do good, should entrust their souls to him as the faithful CREATOR that he is.

Colossians 2:11-12

In CHRIST you were circumcised, not by human hands, but by putting off the sins of the flesh - the circumcision done by CHRIST. For you were buried with him in baptism, and raised with him through your faith in the power of GOD, who raised him from the dead.

Matthew 5:11-12

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and lie about you on my account, just as they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven.

Colossians 2:8-10

Be careful that no one leads you astray through hollow and deceptive philosophy, following the traditions of man and the elements of the world, rather than of CHRIST. For in him all the fullness of GOD dwells in bodily form, and in him you are made full. He is the head of all power and authority.

Psalm 37:30-31

The righteous speak wisdom; their tongue discerns right from wrong. The law of GOD is in their heart; they keep to the right path.

Psalm 37:7-11

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him. Do not fret when others prosper in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger, and turn away from wrath. Do not fret - it only leads to evil. The wicked will be cut off, but those who trust in the LORD will inherit the land. In just a little while, the wicked will be no more. Though you look for them, they will be gone. But the meek will inherit the land, and enjoy great peace.

1 John 3:13-14

Do not be surprised, beloved, if the world hates you. We know that we have passed out of death and into life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death.

1 Peter 4:14

If you are insulted for wearing the name of CHRIST, you are blessed, because the SPIRIT of glory and of GOD rests on you.

2 Corinthians 5:6-10

We are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with the LORD. We live by faith and not by sight. So we are confident, I say, and would rather be out these bodies and at home with the LORD. Therefore our aim is always to please him, whether in these bodies or absent. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of CHRIST, where each one of us will receive what we deserve for what we have done in these bodies, whether good or bad.
