Titus 3:3-8

At one time we too were thoughtless, disobedient, deceived, and served various lusts and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy and hate, even hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us - not because any works of righteousness we had done, but because of his kindness, through the washing of a rebirth, and a renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. You can trust this. I strongly advise you to confidently stress these things, so that those who have believed may lead in doing what is right. This is good and profitable for everyone.
