1 Corinthians 2:1-5

When I first came to you, declaring to you the testimony of God, I did not engage in a discourse of superiority or wisdom, for I had decided while I was with you to focus entirely on Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness and fear, even trembling. My message and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not be in the wisdom of man, but in the power of God.
