1 Thessalonians 5:5-11

You are all children of light and day. We do not belong to the night or darkness. So, do not let down your guard as others do, but be alert and sober. For those that sleep, sleep at night; and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. Let us be sober, since we belong to the day, wearing faith and love as our armor, and the hope of salvation as our helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are dead or alive when he returns, we may live together with him. Therefore, encourage one another, and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
