Luke 6:1-5

And it came to pass, on the second-first Sabbath, as Jesus was walking through a corn field, his disciples were plucking ears and eating the kernels. Certain Pharisees asked them, "Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?" So Jesus answered them, "Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? He went into the house of God, took and ate the shewbread, which is only lawful for priests to eat, and shared with those who were with him." Then Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath."
