1 Peter 1:17-19

Remember that you call on a Father who impartially judges what each of us does, so live in reverent fear as a temporary resident. For you know you were redeemed from the foolish behavior you learned from previous generations - not with perishable things like gold or silver - but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without spot or blemish.
