John 1:29-34

The next day John saw Jesus coming to him and said, "Behold: the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! This is the one of whom I said, 'A man comes after me, who takes a place before me, because he was before me.' I myself did not know him, but so he would be revealed to Israel, I came baptizing with water." Then John testified, saying, "I have seen the Holy Spirit descend, as a dove from heaven, and it remained on him. Prior to that I did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'Upon whom you see the Holy Spirit descend and remain on, is he who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.' I have seen, and I testify, that this is the Son of God."
