Luke 6:46-49

What is the point of calling me, Lord, Lord, without doing what I tell you to do? Let me explain to you what it is like when someone comes to me, hears what I have to say, and obeys me. It is like when a man builds a house and digs down deep to lay the foundation on bedrock. Then when floodwaters rise and beat on the house, it will stand firm because it was built properly. When someone hears what I have to say, but does not obey me, it is like when a man builds a house without a foundation. When the floodwaters rise and beat on the house, it immediately collapses and is completely destroyed.
