Matthew 7:7-8
Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks, receives. He who seeks, finds. To him who knocks, it will be opened.

James 1:9-11
Let a brother in humble circumstances rejoice in his high position; and let the one who is rich take pride in being humbled, because like a flower in the grass, he will pass away. For the sun rises, brings a scorching heat, and withers the grass and flowers, ruining their graceful appearance. So also will the rich man fade away in his pursuits.

Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?

Ecclesiastes 3:14-15
I know that whatever God does, it will endure forever. Nothing is to be added to it, and from it nothing is to be withdrawn. God's purpose is so that people will revere and fear him. Whatever is, has already been. What will be, has been before. And God will call the past into account.

Hebrews 5:7-9
While Jesus was here on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions, with loud cries and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death. He was heard because of his deep reverence for God. Even though he was the Son of God, he learned obedience through what he suffered, and having been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.

2 Timothy 2:15
Be diligent to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker without any reason to be ashamed, properly handling the word of truth.

John 3:19-21
Here is the verdict (for the test by which men are judged): the Light came into the world, but people doing evil loved the dark more than the light. For everyone who does evil, hates the light, and avoids the light, for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But everyone who lives by the truth willingly comes into the light, so that their deeds can plainly be seen to be of God.

1 Timothy 3:16
Without question, the mystery of our faith is great: God appeared in human form and was declared righteous by the Holy Spirit as witnessed by angels. He was proclaimed among the nations and believed in throughout the world. Then he returned to heaven in glory.

Philippians 1:18b-26
I rejoice, and will continue to rejoice, for I know that my deliverance will come through your prayers and the help given me by the Spirit of Jesus Christ. I fully expect and hope that in nothing will I be ashamed, and that I will continue in all boldness as Christ is magnified in me, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I live on in this body it will mean fruitful labor. Yet, what I will choose? I do not know. The dilemma I face is having to choose between departing to be with Christ, which is better for me, or to remain, which is better for you. Knowing what I know, I am convinced that I will remain and abide with you, for your progress and joy in faith, and so that your rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ by my coming to you again.

Psalm 33:5-9
The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his lovingkindness. The heavens were created by a word from the LORD, and all the stars by the breath of his mouth. He gathered the waters of the seas into their boundaries, and stored the oceans in vast reservoirs. Let all the earth fear the LORD. Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spoke, and it was. He commanded, and it happened.

2 Corinthians 1:3-7
Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles, for our being able to comfort others in trouble, with the comfort he has given us. For just as we share in the suffering of Christ, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. If our troubles are heavy, it is for your comfort and salvation. When we are comforted, is for your comfort, so you can patiently endure the same suffering. Our hope for you is sure, knowing that just as you share in the suffering, you also share in the comfort.

Galatians 5:19-25
Giving in to the desires of a sinful nature results in adultery, fornication, perversion, and lustfulness; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, quarreling, jealousy, rage, selfish ambition, division, false teaching, envy, murder, drunkenness, wild parties, and things like these - all of which I have warned you and forewarned you about, that anyone living like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patient endurance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to the Messiah have crucified their sinful nature with its passions and lusts. If we then are living by the Spirit, let us walk with the Spirit.

2 Peter 1:5-9
Responding to God's promises with all diligence, add to your faith, virtue; and to virtue, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, patient endurance; and to patient endurance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly affection; and to brotherly affection, love. Possessing these qualities in ever increasing measures will keep you from being idle and unfruitful in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Anyone lacking these qualities is blind, short-sighted, having forgotten the purging of his old sins.

1 John 1:5-7
This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him, yet walk in darkness, we are lying and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.

1 Thessalonians 5:5-11
You are all children of light and day. We do not belong to the night or darkness. So, do not let down your guard as others do, but be alert and sober. For those that sleep, sleep at night; and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. Let us be sober, since we belong to the day, wearing faith and love as our armor, and the hope of salvation as our helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are dead or alive when he returns, we may live together with him. Therefore, encourage one another, and build each other up, just as you are already doing.

Colossians 2:1-5
I want you to know how I am fighting for you, for the believers in Laodicea, and even for those whom I have not yet met face to face, that their hearts may be comforted, being united in love. I want them to have complete assurance that they understand the secret of God the Father, which is Christ himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I am telling you this so that no one can deceive you with well-crafted arguments. For though I am not with you in body, I am with you in spirit, and am delighted to know how in order you are, and that your faith in Christ is strong.

Matthew 6:14-15
If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive those who sin against you, neither will your Father forgive your sins.

Mark 4:35-41
When evening came, he said to them, "Let us go over to the other side." Once they had sent the crowd away, they headed out in the boat he was in, while other, smaller boats followed. A violent storm came up; the waves broke over the boat, and it began to take on water. They woke up Jesus, who had been sleeping on a cushion in the stern, and asked him, "Teacher, do you not care if we drown?" He got up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Silence! Be still." The wind stopped, and there was a great calm. Then he asked them, "Why are you so afraid? How is it that you still have no faith?" They were terrified and asked each other, "Who is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"

Hebrews 13:20-21
May the God of peace, who raised from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep in the power of the blood of the eternal covenant, perfect you in good works for doing his will, doing in us what is pleasing to him through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs all glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Romans 12:14-16
Bless those who are persecuting you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with the rejoicing; weep with the weeping. Live in harmony with each other. Do not be pretentious, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

Ephesians 2:4-5
And God, being rich in mercy, and because of the great love with which He loved us, made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in our transgressions. Therefore, it is by grace you are being saved.

1 Peter 1:22-25
Having purified your souls by obedience to the truth through the Spirit, love each other deeply, from your heart, in sincere brotherly love; for you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring Word of God.
Man is like grass, and the glory of man is like flowers in a field; the grass withers, and the flowers fall. But the Word of the Lord remains forever. That Word - is the same gospel that was preached to you.

Psalm 33:1-4
Let the godly sing for joy to the LORD for it is fitting for the upright to praise him. Praise the LORD and sing songs to him with your instruments. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy. For the word of the LORD is faultless, and he is faithful in all he does.

Philippians 2:1-4
If you receive encouragement in Christ, if you find comfort in his love, if you enjoy fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

2 John 1:8-9
See to yourselves that you do not lose what we have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent to receive your full reward. Anyone wandering away from, instead of remaining in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; but anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ, has both the Father and the Son.

Luke 6:1-5
And it came to pass, on the second-first Sabbath, as Jesus was walking through a corn field, his disciples were plucking ears and eating the kernels. Certain Pharisees asked them, "Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?" So Jesus answered them, "Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? He went into the house of God, took and ate the shewbread, which is only lawful for priests to eat, and shared with those who were with him." Then Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath."

John 3:16-18
For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that whoever believes in him may not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world may be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not judged, but whoever does not believe has been condemned already for not having believed in God's one and only Son.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5
When I first came to you, declaring to you the testimony of God, I did not engage in a discourse of superiority or wisdom, for I had decided while I was with you to focus entirely on Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness and fear, even trembling. My message and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not be in the wisdom of man, but in the power of God.

1 Peter 1:20-21
Christ was chosen before the world was created, and made known in these last times, for your sakes. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from among the dead, and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

Romans 3:21-24
And now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been made known, testified to by the Law and the Prophets. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ and is for all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. And yet, we are freely declared righteous by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.

Titus 2:1-8
Teach sound doctrine. Teach the older men to be sober, worthy of respect, and self-controlled. They must be sound in faith, filled with love, and patient. In the same way, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live. They must not be slanderers, nor enslaved to wine, but rather be teachers of righteousness, so that they can train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be sober and pure, diligent at home, kind, and submissive to their husbands. That way no one can malign the word of God. In the same way, teach the young men to be self-controlled. Set a good example for them in every way by doing what is right. Let your teaching be filled with integrity, seriousness, and truth, beyond condemnation, so that those who oppose us will be ashamed and have nothing evil to say about us.
